Certification Recognizes Industry-Standard Medical Management Processes

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Sept. 16, 2008—DST Health Solutions’ Medical Services Department has been awarded Health Utilization Management Accreditation from URAC. The department was granted accreditation through 2010. URAC is a Washington, DC-based healthcare accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the healthcare industry.

URAC’s Health Utilization Management Review Standards ensure that organizations follow review processes that are clinically sound and respect patients’ and providers’ rights while giving payors reasonable guidelines.
